Reshape has no account and does not track you. The app collects nothing and sends nothing, and everything about your browsing stays on your phone.

What we collect: nothing

Reshape has no account and no sign-in. It does not track you, and it has no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers of any kind. It does not collect or transmit anything about your browsing, and it sends nothing off your phone. There is no server of ours for your data to go to.

If you choose to email us

Reshape has a “Write us an email” option. Tapping it opens your own email app with a short message already addressed to us. You write it and send it yourself, from your own email account, exactly as you would email anyone. The app itself does not send anything.

To help us fix problems, that draft includes one line naming your app version and phone model. You can delete that line before you send. Because you send the email yourself, this is an ordinary email to us, not data the app collects. We use what you write only to reply and to improve the app. We do not sell it, we do not hand it to anyone for their own use, and we do not use it for advertising. There is no account, so it is not linked to any identity.

Everything happens on your device

  • →Your block list is stored only on your phone.
  • →The filter runs locally. Reshape uses a local, on-device VPN (Virtual Private Network) that filters the website addresses your browser looks up. This is not a remote service: your web traffic is never routed to Amelia Labs or any server, and your browsing is never monetized.
  • →Normal sites resolve normally. When you open a site that is not on your block list, the lookup is handled by your phone's normal internet connection, exactly as if Reshape were not installed. If your network does not provide one, the app falls back to a public resolver (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1). Either way the lookup never goes to Amelia Labs.

What the app can and cannot see

  • →It can see only the website names your browser looks up (for example, instagram.com), on your device, to compare them against your block list.
  • →It cannot see the pages you visit, your searches, your messages, your photos, or your passwords. It keeps no browsing history.

Permissions we use

  • →VPN — used only as a local, on-device filter to block the sites on your list. No remote server is involved.
  • →Notification — Android requires an ongoing notification while the filter is running, so you always know it is active.
  • →Network state — used to send non-blocked lookups to your own network's resolver, so nothing is rerouted off your device.

Backups

The block list is excluded from automatic cloud backup, so it is not uploaded anywhere.

Children

Reshape is a digital-wellbeing tool for adults managing their own browsing. It is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top.
